Kalpana want legal advice from lawyer in india

Hi, I am a Accountant, maintaining accounts for one client more than years and he also our family friend. Since few months they are asking files back and they are planning to appoint individual accountant . But due to some unexpected emergency, I was unable to complete all pending on date. Now client is insisting to give my file as it is. Now they have given complaint against me. Even police is favour of client. Now I need some time to finish all works and handover all files as it should not affect my professional career.Pls advice
